2005 Chevy Impala Sound Deadening

Has anyone ever used this stuff to improve sound quality in their car?
http://www.b-quiet.com/?ovrtr

I am going to be installing my system in this vehicle and I will be starting from scratch and working in stages.

If anyone has used this or other materials such as Dynamat before, do you have any tips for taking the interior apart, piece by piece, etc?

Thanks!

it would be nice to get rid of the rear tire roar these cars have :/ plus my radio is easily heard outside the vehicle when the windows are up.

Tire roar? I never noticed ... oh yea I always have the radio blasting =D

I have no idea on how well that stuff would work, havn't heard much of anyone using it (in these forums anyways).

Edit: There appears to be a link in http://www.impalahq.com in the how to page for someone who's used dynamat.

Ahahah I am never in the back of the car while its moving... likely why I don't notice it too much... the car is fairly quiet for me at most speeds

skid plate, to protect engine and tranny? hows that make it noisier? And you never rode in the rear? I let my girlfriend drive while on a road trip i was sleeping in the back and man o man its a comfortable car but there is a slight roar from the rear tires i think they fixed that on the newer models.

tyhe skid plate makes it noisier because instead of the noise from the engine and tranny going out the bottom of the car the plate now stops that and so it vibrates in there more and the souind really doesnt have anywhere to go.

I think they run in the 100-200 range... I could be wrong.

I just checked... I have a skid plate... I never looked in that specific area before, sure enough theres that big ol peice of steel... Find new things everyday!
