high speed body kit

Whats up guys, I wasnt quite sure where to post this thread because it is a mix of both performance and non performance and I would like opinions on both. I have been upgrading the performance of my gsx for a while and now I am looking to add a few cosmetic upgrades as well. Here is my question, will a bodykit affect a cars performance? As in weight and air dynamics? I want to look good but not at the expence of my cars performance, I know fiberglass and urathane cant be too heavy but im not sure. Also what is the ability of a bodykit to stay on at high speed? I dont want to be doing 100 done the 1/4 mile and my sideskirt fly off and go through the other guys windshield lol. Forgive me if this is a stupid question but I just want to be sure an upgrade like this wont affect performance, which is what Im all about, I just like to look good while im doing it

Re: high speed body kit

Kits dont weigh too much. Just make sure when you put on the kit that everything is mounted good with NEW mounts, and you should be ok.

Re: high speed body kit

I agree with David-b. A buddy of mine was pretty much in the same situation as you. he got every thing molded instead of mounted. Well actually he mounted then molded, but u get the picture
