Question 2002 M3 and Car Seats

I've got two small kids which I rarely, but occasionally, need to tote around in my car. I currently have their car seats in the back of a 2003 330i. The four doors, obviously, make this pretty easy to do.

The wife has agreed to a used M3 - no small feat - but wants to know if the car seats will fit in the back seat.

Just curious if anyone has any tips or feedback for small kids in the back seat. (Four and One years old).

Just hoping it's not a deal breaker, I don't want to buy an S4.

Cheers!

Actually, there is really more room in the back of the E46 M3 than an A4/S4 even though it's only 2 doors.

It's much easier to get my daughter into my M3 than my wife's A4. The seats in the BMW lift up and forward to give extra room when getting in/out of the back seat.

No problem. Take a car seat with you and test drive one (even if it's not the exact car you are going to buy). I think you'll be as surprised as I was about the amount of room the E46 M3 has in the back.
