ok have to ask

just want to know before I make a fool of my self, hope fully I get a honest awnser :P

I have a jdm 1989 mk2 mr2 turbo with hks super dragger exhuast and a apex air filter / intake

my friend has a jdm lancer gsr ( he says it is not an evo ) so I belive he has a 1.8 liter turbo engine with a evo 3 exhuast installed and maby an intake

k now I know this is a hard one to awnser but who would probley win in a race, straight, no turns or nothing, just raw get up and go power.

also they are bolth jdm cause I live in japan :P also before someone tells me I am wrong about my cars year and it being a mk2 the mr2 mk2 was realeased in japan in 89 of oct. my car stock has 225 hp and from info I have gatherd on the hks exhuast it add's about 25 hp ( it is a non road leagel system made for racing only ) I dont know about the intake and what type of power it add's. stock my car should do a 0-60 in 5.7-5.8 sec's and a 1/4 mile in mid 13 to mid 14

I figure you guys know about the lancer and I dont :P so that is why I am posting here,

he tells me he will wipe the road up with my car but from what little I know about his car I figure it will be close. butI dont really know at all. of course since I own the mr2 I think I will win but would like to know before I race him.

Unhappy Re: ok have to ask

Since you live in japan and you say that lancer isn't an evolution, I have no idea what it's specs are at all. Im assuming the turbo is aftermarket though? Its hard to say because the US lancers are so much different, I think.

I don't know the level of mods made to the GSR... but if it was my GSR... (I drive a mirage asti, engine swapped to 4G93T) it would be close.. very close...

My car's specs:

Body: Mirage Asti
engine: 4G93T
Turbine: TD04L stock
Intercooler: Lancer 1.8 GSR stock

MOds:

Adjustable cam pulleys
apexi intake filters
5 Zingen end can

boost at 1.0 bar

performance:

0-100 5.6 sec
0-400 meters (1/4 mile) 13.9 sec - 14.5 sec at 160-170kmh (approx 100mph)
top speed 240kmh (150mph)
calculated bhp: 240bhp
