U know a bigger throttle body doesn't help unless you port the heads. A performance intake and thorttle body won't help as much as it could unless you port the heads since the valves size is the same. That means no matter how much more air goes in because of the bigger intake and thorttle body the amount of air that goes into the cylinder will pertty much be the same. So unless you are going to port the heads I really don't think you would need a bigger thorttle body.

Thats not nesscesarily true. I'm sure the horsepower gain would be quite more if the heads were ported but there is still room for improvement. Nissan had certain smog regulations to follow, as well as certain DOT and EPA regulations when they built the car so they had to cut back on a/f ratios and other limiting factors. A big Bore throttle body on any car would yield a few whp, but the biggies improvement from the big bore throttle body is the throttle response is so much quickier as well as improving the quality of airflow which enters the manifold.

I don't think the the throttle body would make that much difference on the response. Hmm well I know one company that is almost perfect with tuning on throttle response and that is Mines. I believe they are working on a 350z currently. Lets see what they do. Im very interested in the Mines 350z and Do Luck's 350z. Do Luck's looks awsome and I believe Mines 350z is very fast on the track =)

Re: Looking for Big Bore Throttle Body

These guys were the only ones but I don't see it on their website so give them a call to see if they still offer it, it was an exchange deal. The performance increase was there at the top of the RPM's probably a better mod for FI people.

Re: Looking for Big Bore Throttle Body

350EVO and ProFlow offer throttle-body upgrades. 350EVO gets the TB's from ProFlow, so just decide who you want to give your money to (ProFlow is cheaper).

Re: Looking for Big Bore Throttle Body

That sounds like a guess because how do you know the if the throttle body isnt undesized. IMHO it adds a crispier response but not worth the money to get.
