I have a 1994 325is which I would like to get a set of summer performance tires/rims for. I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada so I will definitely keep the original 15" rims with true winter tires for winter use only.
What are the recommended sizes of tires for these rims? Could you go through a list of pros and cons of the 17" vs 18"? One concern I have about the 18" is the possible damage due to potholes etc. |

you will have a very tough time finding an 18" wheel and tire combination that does not require a fender lip modification and an alignment hange so I would suggest that you stay away from that size. Using a 17" or a 16" would be preferable. Also these are the tire sizes to use 205/55-16 or 215/45-17 to avoid any problems. I would go with 17's for the improved steering response, handling and visual impact.

Hi!
You said you own a 94' 335is; how has she been treating you. I ask because i've been looking for a used car or a while and I think that the 325is is the car for me. thanks |

i want to get 17's myself. i own a 1995 honda prelude si, i heard that 215/40/17 would be the best size but im scared of potholes, i heard there are going to be alot after this winter. i also plan to lower my car. would 215/45/17 be too much or could i even go any bigger?
