Lowering the bird

Has anyone lowered a bird using a good ol fashioned torch. I want to do it saturday and I was wondering if anyone has done it. Any tips what can I mess up on it when doing it. What would be reasons not to do it this way.

I live on a dirt road that gets pretty messed up when it rains so how far should I go If I do the drop?

Dont!!!!

If you plan to cut the coils it will create a crappy ride. Have a pro replace the springs and shocks.

For looks, that technique is okay. Otherwise, it will deminish all other aspects. You will have a crappy ride (bouncing all over the place), it will certainly compromise cornering abilities. When you cut your springs, it will create heat. Heat causes the springs to become weak. I dont reccomend it. Fork over $250, and buy a set of real lowering springs...like i did..

It doesn't matter how old you are to ask your Dad questions. Life is short so spend time with him and ask away!
