making molds
whats the easyest stuff to use to make molds of parts and then whats the good stuff to cast the parts once a mold is built
as i,m thinking of making chassie's from molds to make my own type of funny cars etc

An RTV sillicone rubber is the stuff to use to make your molds with either a urethene resin or polyester resin to make the copies. The former may be the best option for u as its tougher, but it does shorten the life of the mold due to its chemical make-up. U will get about 50 casting from this stuff so it shouldnt be any concern for u.
