Angry Engine misses or hesitates coming out of a turn.

I have a 1983 Dodge Charger 2.2. My daughter uses it to race in the Kids Club. It has a 5300 series carburator and the vacum advance has been removed. Because of this the timing is set to 32 degrees. Going down the stretch of a quarter mile track it runs great. When accelerating coming out of a turn it misses or hesitates prior to runing normal. I have replaced plugs, wires distributor cap, pick up coil and cleaned carburator. The spark advance unit was also replaced. At this point I'm not sure if its electrical or carburation. Can anyone help???
Thanks.

Sounds like carb problem. Turning may be shifting gas over to one side and not allowing for enough gas to be sucked through. Floats may need adjusting, find a book on it from library. Wasn't aware of vacuum advance, thought they all had electronically advanced distributors. Is this a US car?

Thanks for yor reply. Yes it is a US car but the emissions and vacum advance has been removed. I'll give this a try but if you should think of something else please let me know.

How much gas is in tank when problem occurs? Had very similar problem with 1989 Spirit when there was 1/4 tank or less. Fuel pump looses suction when cornering.

My 1984 Turismo 2.2 does the same thing and I don't know why.

I don't believe I've been runing with less than 1/2 a tank but it is certainly worth looking into.
Thanks for your reply.
