Any good sounding exhaust out there?
I am looking to put a exhaust on my 99 z-24, but I do not want it to sound like a ricey honda. Right now I am looking at the borla cat-back, but if there is something better let me know.
Just wondering if anyone know if it is really loud if I do a header, high-flow with a cat-back or just stay with the cat-back. Thanks |

Well, I have a Honda, and people still don't believe it. I have a highflow cat with a highflow muffler, it is DC Sport, but, it is still a muffler, not like those huge cylinders that go to a slightly smaller cylinder like most exhaust kits. It gives my Honda a nice mellow low pitched sound, until my other cam kicks on and you cannot hear my exhaust, it is all engine noise from there, and she screams.

Re: Any good sounding exhaust out there?
I really don't get why people like sound so much... I mean it's such a cosmetic thing...
if the sound really bothers you get yourself a nice resonator and that should change things up a bit. a full exhaust system should change the noise too but louder isn't always better. My exhaust has a low purr to it and with my gains it all molds together nicely and sounds fine for my taste. you can't really judge on sound unless you hear it in person... that's my opinion
