How do you like the progressive carb, Do you REALLY get 1 bbl gas mileage, but accerlate like a 2bbl carb. About what speed does the secondary open at, Can I cruse down the interstate at 55-60 with only 1 bbl open? Im might be getting one for 100, I just want to know what you guys think

Re: webber progressive feedback

I had one for over then years on my '72 super beetle with a 1776 cc motor. Got good gas mileage, maybe not as good as a one barrel because it was too fun to punch it now and again. I even added a screw in a strategic spot on the throttle arm so both barrels would open at the same time (VROOOM). Easy installation, the only thing I didn't like was there is a screw (volumn adjustment screw?) that needs to be adjusted after rebuilding the carb at the back (front?) of the carb right up next to the fan shroud. Also I did not vent the case into the aircleaner because I kept getting oil in it, I added a breather venting to the valve covers from the oil fill tube.
