The 97-99 has darker headlights than the 95-96 but I'm not sure thats the only difference

Wasn't '97 the last year that the GSX was made?

Okay, here's what your looking for:
The pictures posted above show most of the external cosmetic difference between the 95-96 and 97-99 models. The front bumper, side skirts, rear bumpers, rear wing, headlights, foglights, reverse lights, and third brake light are all different. 95/96 interiors come in all gray leather. 97+ offered tan/black and gray/black two-tones configurations. 95/96 GSX's come with 16x6 wheels and 215/55/16 tires. 97+ come with 17x6.5 wheels and 215/45/17 tires. (All 95+ GST's came with 205/55/16 tires on 16x6 wheels.) 95's have a solid radio antenna, while 96+ all come with power antennas. Early 95's have a intake baffler (muffler) right before the intercooler that later models do not have. Some very early 95's have a bunch of unique differences: - vented rear disc brakes, while all later models have solid rear discs - a 1G appearing "EFI" stamping on the intake manifold - an extra heat vent mounted under the steering wheel - no ODB-ii connector (all other 95+ do have one though) The Infinity stereo system differes slighty each year, as well. 97+ can come with a HomeLink equipped visor with three buttons. That's all I can think of off the top of my head... |
