new 1/4 time

hey guys, i've been hitting the track a little more frequently and i've been getting more practice in. i've succesfully dropped my quarter mile time by almost a whole second just by learning to drive my car.

the first time i went to the track ever, i ran about a 16.1 i've slowly moved into 15.6 and 15.5. a few weeks ago i was able to hit 15.41. yesterday i broke into 15.38 with a bit of a peelout at the tree. i'm pretty confident i can hit 15.2 if i keep trying.

i'm saying this in case anyone wants to know what a relatively stock prelude can do at the track. i have some mods: intake, clutch/flywheel, and "header" ... but the headers are broken (the flexpipe snapped), i'm having a slight misfire in cylinder #1, and my engine is old (111k miles) so yea, driving is a huge part of your times and i'm sure a newer engine can probably run just as good with absolutely no mods, or maybe even better.

Re: new 1/4 time

btw, i pulled that 15.38 raping a 2.4L cavalier with NOS...sucka!!

oh, and i would've beat an oldschool 5.0 mustang if two spark plug wires hadn't of fallen off the distributor cap in the middle of the race

Re: new 1/4 time

wow thats awesome...its good to see someone taking the time to figure out how to drive the car rather than just adding more bolt-ons to cover the lack of driving skills

With the mods you have, you could actually be on your way to a high 14.
