LS series engine dimensions

Im curious to know what the dimensions are on the LS series and figured this would be the best place to look. So how long is this engine block, as in inches, from the rear of the block to the front of the belt assembly? I'm trying to figure out if I can stuff this engine into another car, hopefully it can fit in there.

Re: LS series engine dimensions

hmm... thats a good... random, but good question. Cant say as i know that off of the top of my head. Normally we worry about the measurments inside the engine. Anybody out there wanna take a tape measure under the hood for this guy?

I'm trying to figure out if the LS1 can fit inside the engine bay of a DeLorean. True, its an odd car to want to mod, but I think it looks rather sporty and its different, however the performance side of it is a little disapointing. I was able to find a site that said something about the LS1 being roughly 28.75 inches long, from the flywheel to the front of the accesory drive, but sadly the D has a limited space of 23.78 inches....
