Re: Honda civic si concept

I know there are a couple threads around here with pictures and stuff for the car but hey if youve found some new ones post them up!

Keep in mind though this thing is a concept, its not going to be exactly like that when it rolls off the assembly line. It should be toned down a little bit, but hopefully not too much.

Re: Honda civic si concept

Yea I got to see the car in person at the NYC autoshow last week took mad pics..The car that was there was just a shell 2 pipe axels connecting 2 wheels. The inside of the car had nothing in it at all. I spoke to the Honda guy there and he said the car is being produced right now they have many working models..It will be 90% what you see. Minus the wheels, brakes, black hood and roof door handles. So basically the body is staying the same not sure about the center exhaust but I am VERY sure that will change. But the car makes its debute at SEMA in NOV and will also be on sale to the public that month. I'm hearing NAVI might be an option ....

Re: Honda civic si concept

*BUMP*
Word is according to VTEC.net that the car is deffinitly looking like that minus the wheels, brakes and they arent sure about the headlights..But the spoiler is a go..But it will be shortened because of visability reasons. Can anyone grab a pic of the Honda City and the other Honda over in Japan( that we dont have here), cause they took the tail lights directly off of it..Check it out if you have time.

Re: Honda civic si concept

crap, I could really care less about the wheels, but the brakes and headlights need to stay.

I've also gotten word that the new RSX will be putting out 215hp now.

Re: Honda civic si concept

nope, not going to get rid of the RSX. I'll try to find the article again. But pretty much the rep was saying why would they kill a line up that makes them so much money. It would be senseless

Hmm...intersting. I'll still reserve judgemnt until I see a production model. The new Eclispe still "looks" like the concept...I mean, the body is a direct lift...but it still looks different. No where near as nice. Concepts do a great job at what they are suppose to do...gain attention and gauge what people think of the idea.

I agree the brakes would be nice but they arn't going to keep Bremebo Big Brakes on a production civic...no way. If they changed the headlights (since you mentioned they arn't sure yet) then it might s well be a different car from the front end, since the whole design will change. As for the spolier being smaller....I'm glad...I hate spoilers.

It'd be interstingif they kept the center exhuast but fat chance on that. Again, it'll change the look of the back and bottom of the rear bumper. The concept is interesting...but I'll reserve judgement and won't execpt anything until I see the production model. I'd be suprised if they changed the LOOK of the headlights. Maybe like the Ecplise, can the light source (like Mitsu canned the weird LED lighting, the I'd be suprised it the shape didn't hold true.

Re: Honda civic si concept

Speculations D17's in the VP-DX-LX and K's across the board for the rest.

127hp Civic VP/DX/LX - average persons base model civic
160hp Civic EX - Inexpensive RSX variant with a 4 door option
200hp Civic Si - Cheaper variant of the RSX-S, without all the fancy options
160hp RSX - More luxurious version of the Civic EX
210hp RSX-S - More luxurious version of the Civic Si
