Hello, I have a 3.1L Century, 1991, and the lights of the instrument panel donīt function since a while and I tried to find the short circuit with no success. At the beginning, only the fuse blown out every time I turned on the lights. Now, after moving some wires, the fuse does not blow and the instrument lights still not function.
Any help????... Many Thanks. |

Perhaps the light switch itself is the problem. Try replaceing that. Doyou have one of those "wheels" that you turn to get the lights to brighten? You might have a look at that one as well. I would lean toward the latter.

If it's right or wrong please report back so someone else (maybe even me) will know where to look if I/they have the same problem. Good luck |

I have a 95 century. I had a problem where time I turned on the headlights the raidio lighting would go dark, and the instruments wouldn't lite up. I changed out the dimmer switch and everything works fine now, I don't know if that helps but hopefully it will.

Check the "instrument panel" dimmer switch. not the dimmer switch on your turn signal. It's usually located under the dash. They are normally rectangular with heat sinks on them with and a round electronic device with a plug.
