alternator trouble

Ever since I have owned my car (2 years) I have had trouble with the charging system. I have been through 3 or 4 batteries because they explode and all the acid leaks out. I went through 2 alternators and stopped buying from Auto Zone. I splurged and bought a mitsubishi alternator. The alternator never works right when the blower is on for the a/c or heat. Turn off the blower and it works fine. The blower is loud and sounds like a total piece of crap. Do you think it is a short, a bad blower motor, or something else. When the battery gets low I start having idle surge problems. I've been running without heat and a/c and it seems fine.
