Cracking the Radio Security Code????

I removed the battery from my 2000 Mitsu Eclipse.
Now the radio needs a code to be entered in order for the radio to work.
I bought the car used and dont have the code.
I dont have the "first cd" that was ever played in it either.
Does any one know how to get the code that will make my radio work?
With out bringing it to the dealer and shelling out $120.

Re: Cracking the Radio Security Code????

The dealer will not charge 120 bucks for it. I took my 99 to the dealer for that problem. They will just want proof its your car and your radio. So have the vin of your car and your radio out to show them. Then they will look up in a file your code and give it to you. There should be a code on your factory unit. And if some odd reason they do want to charge you 120 bucks. Tell them to eat a dick and go buy a nice after market head unit.
