Transmission fluid

Hello. I am new to the group but have monitored the posts and threads for some time. I have a 92 RS and this morning I noticed transmission fluid leaking from the very front of the car, beneath the radiator but I cannot seem to find where it's coming from. Any suggestions, all ye wise in the ways of Chevrolet??? Is this a serious thing or a loose fitting somewhere?

If it's coming from the radiator it would be the transmission cooler. I'm not sure which years and models have them but that is my guess. Could be a fitting going either to or from the radiator or it could just be a leak somewhere.

You'l see two stainless steel lines going from the trans to the tranny cooler, Just get under there and follow them to the cooler and back until you find the leak..

it'l make it easier if you clean the area real good, then drive the car for a day or two before you check...

DOnt let your tranny fluid get low or you'l overheat the tranny and turn a $5 repair into a $1000

Thank guys.
It was the cooler. The lower line had some play around the fitting. Not sure how it got loose. I tried tightening but it would not tighten. I put a dab of JB Weld around the fitting where the cooler line goes into the fitting and it solved it. 3.00 fix.

next time just use some thread sealant.... now if you have to replace your radiator/cooler you're going to have a hell of a time doing so.
