97 LeSabre Won't Start When Wet

The vehicle starts normally, except after there has been a heavy rain, (heavy enough where the rain splashes up from the pavement under the engine). I've replaced the starter, but the problem remains. Any ideas?

Re: 97 LeSabre Won't Start When Wet

Hi
I have the same prob. 97 le sabre won't start in high humidity - not necessarily heavy rain. I get a ticking sound from either behind/under glove compartment on turning the ignition key. No lights, nothing.
Problem solves itself if I let it sit a few hours. hence - by time I get it to the shop - they can't diagnosis the prob. HELP ME! I'm ready to get rid of the car. This has been ongoing for the past 4 yrs I'm fed up.

Hello

I had trouble with the ground by the battery that's mouted to the fender. If this ground is bad nothing works. Take off the nut, clean things up well and coat them with grease to keep them from coroding.
