bad ass rice

well, its a first, not that it wouldn't happen one day, i knew it would.

i got up at a traffic light with an integra an a civic which were racing on a few lights.. not trying to impress anyone, and knowing the pa weights almost 2 tons i knew it's limits and i also knew it was faster then a mildly modded integra and civic.. so to impress the kids, i went for it

i blew the doors off the integra with the 6 inch muffler that looks like a cabin cheminee.. but that civic was a bomb.. i took off like a jet and i could hear my supercharger whining and breathing though that cone filter like hell...but that civic, everytime he shifted gears, it was getting closer and then by the time he was in third he went by VERY fast.. heheheh that kid musta have a H22 or a B18 in there.. it was dark blue with no spoilers.. the perfect sleeper

im not insulted in anyway and not even suprised...just that you cant beat a chevette with a 18 wheeler.. its the combination of mass, torq and HP that make it go.

all i need now is a few upgrades, to keep up :P

ok, who got a smaller pulley for a eaton M62 supercharger for sale ? :P

Re: bad ass rice

Nice kill!

I toasted an eclipse convertable last night, not sure which engine it was running, I think I saw GS-T on the back, but it could have said spyder for the convertable. We took off and I had maybe 4 feet on him, and he had to give up because the road narrows to one lane.

Buicks rock.

Re: bad ass rice

not much of a kill since after 75 feet he was long gone tman :-/...as in long gone in front of me

but i am looking into modding this mamouth of car.. the mecanicals are in great shape and its already got a 2 1/4 - 2 1/2 inch exaust which i cannot understand why is it so big .. but i know i will be useful someday... so im looking for a pulley and a chip.. the chip part may be resolved .. now for the pulley part... i wonder if one from a eaton M90 would do... i see alot go by on ebay that are smaller.. just to put the boost at 10 psi instead of 8... would make all the diffrence im pretty sure..

as for your eclipse, if it was a turbo it would have smoked you.. unless you modded you car alot... this dsm's are fast..i tryed one last year and it pulled HARD.

Re: bad ass rice

I meant nice kill for the integra!

Yeah, the eclipse definately wasn't the turbo variety then, as my car is stock except for my fog lights, and they hurt performance more than help!

So what engine do you think it had? It was a dead heat with me only a few feet in front.

well your eclipse, if it was the spyder model, must have been whats called a 4G64...which is a 150 hp 2.4L engine.

the older models OR the turbo ones, had 4g63T enegines.. which is 200 hp 200 pound feet of torq

the one i tryed was just that and it moved.. and the boost was bone stock... imagine it you up the boost at 14 psi instead of the 11 it has..

the engine in the honda i got smoked by must have been something like a B18 1.8 L 180 hp with a close ration 5 speed OR a H22 which is a prelude engine rated a 195 hp at 8000 RPM with a close ratio tranny as well... if i had a closer ratio mine would move faster too

a guy working with me here has a prelude engine in his civic.. it moves alot! its good for 130 MPH + but the cost does not reflect the result he had to put 8000$ CDN in it to get there.. and the irony is that he got smoked by a souped up 92 eagle talon TSI turbo which is about worth 6000 $ LOL

in anyway you got it, there will always be something out there to smoke you

unless your chris sheppard from shepracing.com, he got a talon thats good for 8.76 on the quarter mile and still street legal ( almost)

a civic that moves a lot at a 130 +, you must be kidding me, that is nothing, that equals 208 km/h, most european cars do that easily, did he spent all his money in amplifiers ??? my 79 bird, runs cirlce around that civic....

Re: bad ass rice

volkerc: i totally agree i asked him today its more in the 230 km/h...thats what He says i've seen the engine and did some research a bit to see if the price was right.. and in a way it is...8000$ cdn .. 4000 $ for the engine tranny wire loom and ecu. the welding here.. he bought all the stuff to make it fit bolt-on. engine mounts were something like 500$ US, he bought another ecm thats programmable for another 500 $ US and some shift kit and a bunhc of other stuff.....anyways... theres nothing incredible about wasting that much money on a 2000$ 95 4 door civic garbage can.. i find rather stupid and i would have personnaly taken that cash on something with ALOT more potential.. he said that he wont install a turbo since he finds that UNreliable...yeah right.. like we all know that small engines need that in order to get torque...even big engines needed

if you had a supercharger on your bird i think you would notice

the thing thats funny about his civic is the fact that nobody will think it moves that fast..and he susprises alot of poeple..either way i would have put that 8K$ in another pocket rocket... like maybe an old rabbit GTI with a 1.8 L turbo from an audi - jetta - golf and tweaked it a bit.. atleast it would have hp and torque....not that im a volks fan or anything.. im not just thinking loudly of an example..

putting 8000$ of weight reduction on my buick to get it down to 2200 lbs and crushing everything on the road LOL...nah...

dude, 230 km/h is still nothing, my stock 924 '79 turbo went 250 with no mods, most stock cars nowadays go that fast,so i'm really not impressed, not to offend anyone.
i mean i'm glad there are kids out there with those fast and furious cars, they are good for one thing, they keep the cops away from me...cause they are so busy running after those guys,....
