Noise and shaking in front end

I have a 99 bu, it has developed a noise in the front end only on acceleration. Now don't laugh but it sounds like a whomp, whomp. I had the left drive axle replaced and brakes done. It quieted down a little but still there. Also at highway speeds I have a shake in the front. Had the tires balanced and found a bent rim had those replaced. the tires have been ballanced twice and still have the vibration. Anyone have any ideas?????

have you tried an alignment? if you managed to bend a rim you may have knocked it out of alignment at the same time.
