Daytime running lights

I noticed this morning when I had my trailblazer warming up the daytime running lights were not on. I normally press the relay 3 times as the manual says to cut them off , but they always come on everytime you restart the vehicle. the lights come on if i turn the manual switch, but not automaticlly as they should. Any suggestions , and is there a daytime running lights fuse?

No suggestions, but find out what happened and tell me! I hate the DRL's. But last time I checked, they only come on when vehicle is in gear, not park.

I have to check this out with my TB, however my other car's DRL will not turn on in the park position when the parking brake is used (on). The DRL's will turn on in the park position (not in gear) once the parking brake is off.

Yeah, It depends where you parked and if the sensor is in the shade. Happens to me everytime in my driveway (full lights), as soon as I get onto the street the DRL's kick on. I think it also has something to do with the fact that I have a bluelight (firefighter) on the dash which kind of covers the sensor.
The 03 GM changed the switch to have an off position with an indicator light, so some of us don't have to press the button the 3 times, a small but nicer feature.

Why do you want to turn off the DRLs?

Re: Daytime running lights

It should be a perm toggle, that would have been good engineering. Turning on/off the pass airbag each time I started the car would be a hassle.
