adapt a k&n filter to your stock maf sensor

first what you need is a k&n filter a cone filter
second go to your loca hardware store and pick up a tolit flange for puting a tolite in
third get some self taping screws and some wire , heat shrinks, electrical tape and a cold drink

step 1 : take out the stock air box there should be three screws around the out side
step 2 : disconnect the mass air flow scensor wireing and the air tepiture scensor wireing which is connected to the air box
step 3 : with the long black tubeing that strechs from the throttle body to the maf scensor gone take out the stock air box and maf scencor now go to a bench or what ever and take and seperate the maf from the air box
step 4 : now heres where that flange comes in handy take and punch out the litle piece thats in the middle. now flip it to where the maf fits flush with the side with out the pipe sticking out now ur sayin how come this wont seal well hold on it will try to get it the best you can and run selftaping screws threw all four holes to sacure the flange to the maf.
step 5 : now with the maf connected to the flange take and use some rtv silicone or what ever u want to seat any air gaps. now get your slef some three inch pvc pipeing thats about two inchs long now glue about and inch of it in to the side with the pipe sticking out wait for glue to
dry.
step 6 : now that the glue is dry take and test fit it to make sure the filter fits. cut around the maf to make it look nice not like theres a tolit flange under your hood but make sure your not cutting off any thing that u whouldneed to mount to to make a mounting brackit
step 7 : drill a hole in the filter so that the scensor that was in the air box can be mounted .
now all thats laft to do is remount the long black piece and hook it up to the maf scensor, extend the temp scensor wires ( if need be ) make a mounting brackit and fire it up
ill have pic of mine up soon
hope this works for u i did this to my 1992 grand marquis ls so tell me if it works on your year

Yeah, I saw your thread on the fenders, I didn't have anything good to say other than, "look for the bolts" so didn't post. Cool the mileage went up.
