best mods

i wanted to start modding my 01 maxima se but i dont kno wat works teh best of maxima's.....ive always worked on camaros becase thats wat my family drives....would a cam and head swap give a lot of power or would i do better upgrading a ECU...or gears...i dont kno wat gives the best results on maximas...any help would be appreiated

cam/heads won't produce huge gains. Your best bet is to upgrade the downpipe and ECU; that's about 25-30whp for less than $500.

How much difference does a lighter wheel make? And what amount of weight loss are you talking about?

Lighter wheel makes a pretty significant difference. It's mostly because you don't have as much inertia to overcome. There are some stripped down Maximas that are weighing in around 2500lbs (from the stock 3,000) and are running 14.1 with very few mods.
