Olds 88 A/C Clutch not engaging

I have a 96 Olds 88, the AC compressor failed, so I replaced it. The Freon charge is OK, fuses OK, clutch won't engage at all. How do I jump the relay to check if it's the relay?

Thanks
Doug

Hello! What you want to do is remove the cover on the Maxi-Fuse center,There you will have acess to the dryer(Large silver object),You will see the refridgerant line runs to it.There you will fine a electric plug,This is the pressure switch.Unplug the wire harness and get a paper clip or wire,And jump the two connections.Compressor should engauge,Or you may have a bad relay.Do you know if you have enough compressor oil in the pump? There should be another switch at the pump montering compressor oil.Do you have a gauge to know exactly how much refridgerant is in the system? Too little,Or too much will make the clutch not engauge.Let me know what you come up with.Have a good day!! Diesel1962

I would also check to see if the clutch on the replacement compressor is good.
