01 F250 w/295/70/16's that rub!

I just placed these tires on my truck, and everywhere I have looked says they should not rub, but they do. They rub on the leaf spring, only when the steering is turned all the way, and only on the passenger side. Any ideas as to why this would happen? I did run (very well worn) 305's, and they barely rubbed. Could it be that the new tires have that much more tread? (the tires are, of course, BFG AT's)
