New Car (what to look for)?

Im purchasing a Talon TSI AWD soon, 96-98. What should i be looking for when im shopping around? Im talking about defects, rust, bad motors, clutch, tranny? Thanks for any input.

There is no such car as a 2001 gsx. 432 @ 203? hp isn't measured in mph. if that is what that is. Anyway you should look for what everybody does when looking into buying a car. And you are welcome for my ANY input.

How does you telling me to look for what everone else looks for helps me out at all? Please dont post unless you know what your talking about, dont flame (it makes you look stupid and gives the forum a bad look), and dont bitch about something, if you got a problem, tell a mod.

I have a problem with your signature. It is insulting because it makes you look like a liar. Do some searching, I would have it checked by a trusted mechanic, then look for signs that it has been modified, wrecked, etc...

ok luke, well see? Wouldn't you do that for any car? anyway if i knew what kind it was (5speed?) I could tell you to look for a firm shifter. No play. But you look for that in any manual car tho. Auto look for smooth shifting. Oil leaks? DUH and most of all just have a mechanic to check it out thoroughly and look for irregular tire wear, erratic idling, service receipits, and whole list of other stuff that you would look for in any car. See?!?!
