I have a 97 T&C 3.4 engine. The engine will start running rough and slow down until it won't run anymore. This has happened twice and on an extended trip while climbing a long hill. After it cools for about 20 minutes it will start and we can get it running down hill. After about 5 minutes of running down hill, it will resume normal running. This last time I checked the DTC and I get code 0300 - random/multiple Cylinder misfire detected. It acts like it is running rich or lean... the engine runs slower with more pedal. I'm wondering if a sensor is heating up and causing the computer to act eratic. This has only happened twice and it is only when loading the engine on an extended hill. I have ruled out the TSP and MAP sensor. Has anyone seen this problem or have any answers for me?
