Halo2: New multiplayer maps coming soon.
this got me excited. there are 9 new maps coming out in june for Halo 2. on release, 2 will be free and two you will have to pay for, then 5 more are going to come out over the course of the month. all can be purchased in a store for $20 on disc, but they can also be downloaded via Xbox Live and they'll charge your account. By the end of the summer all will be available to download for free.
the first four coming out are: Containment:  The Sanctuary:  Turf:  and Warlock:  i can't wait. this should add a lot more to the online mulitplayer here's the article: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/news/2005/...muliplayermaps

These new maps are gonna be sweeeet!!!! Especially Turf. The new sniping points are gonna be incredible.

They ought to have new characters like the Brute. But a shotgun wielding Grunt would be fun too.

well, the first 4 maps came out today. it was earlier than i expected. the first 2(Containment and Warlock) are free, and the other 2(Turf and Sanctuary) are downloaded as a pair for $5.99, and it says they wll be available for free on June 28th. Turf and containment are pretty awesome, i didn't get to play the other 2 yet

They sound sweet, but the unfortunate few of us who are too poor to have XBOX Live will never be able to experience them until they release an expansion pack. You're lucky to have the advantage, Max.

The patch is also awsome, the melee is so much better and they upped the granade power as well...the shotgun well still blows ass! As for the new maps...awsome! Bungie also added a couple new matchmaking modes, double team (2v2 slayer) and team preview (4v4 slayer) heavily weighted towards the new maps.
