TB02 startup
After I turn my ignition. my rpm spins 1.5 x 1000 and gradually drops to .5 x 1000. (I assume this is normal.)
However, my question is, after idling about a minute, I would hear a grinding sound to my right arm, underneath is the cd storage. Then moment later, a moderate thump underneath, near the center. I'm guessing the transfer case? Anyone else experience the same thing and know what it is? Also, for the second time my service 4WD light came on. The warning would turn off when I restart the vehicle. (I guess the computer is confused...) Any suggestions? Thanks, DC Last edited by dach95; 03-30-2005 at 10:07 AM. |

As for the "service 4wd" light, alot of us have had that problem. The problem is once you turn off and re-start, it's fine. Once it happened to me and I brought it to the dealer while it was still happening. They "re-flashed" the computer and it has not happened since.

Re: TB02 startup
The thump happens after idling for about a minute.
Thanks for your input. |

Re: TB02 startup
If it's coming from the dashboard area, it could be a A/C vent closing. Check your control panel and see if you left it on.
