Unhappy My amp is screwed

Got a problem...I have a mrd501 alpine amp, hooked up to two 10 inch types rs, My brother screwed around with my system and took out my suns, when they were pumpen fine...when i put my subs back in my car and connect everything the subs are not worken, i know the subs are not fried cause i hooked them up to my buddies amp...there is power to the amp, alll the wires are connected, there is no display of anything wrong wit the amp...any ideas on what could be wrong from you genius out there...

did you double check all fuses, power wire and on the amp?

did you hook it up hot? (as in the power wire was connected to the batter?) and if you did, did you short out any connections to the chassis of the amp?.....

I don't claim to know anything, and I would wait for the knowledgble people to post (ng, sr20, bumpin) but I would say that your amp is screwed man....

pull your amp, place it in your buddies car, wire it up with his good setup, see if your amp is fried or fine. repost your findings

Hey thanks guys, it was a short, i tryed hooking it up to my buddies car and it didnt work ,so i got a sterio shop to open it and there was a short, so whenever i turned it on, the light would go on but nothign would happen, cause it was shutten itself down ,thanks guys, much appreciated for the advice.
