Will unplugging the battery on any car reset the ECU or is it just 240s?

Re: car idling problem

the battery trick doesn't work on ALOT of cars there are very few cars that it works on just some how lots of people have taken faith in the myth that it does something. however some cars it does but why not pull the kick and reset it like the factory says to and know it is reset?
