air suspension problem i think

just bought a 1990 cont. never knew anything about this air suspension or i would have not bought it. anyway my problem is that the rear of the car is dropped so low is almost seem like it will drag the ground but the front end is fine. ok guys what do i do anybody know what is wron with it is the back air suspension out or what is this a expensive problem to fix any info would be helpful

Welcome the air suspension woes club.
Start with the air suspension switch in the trunk. Make sure it is on.
Does the rear raise at all or does it raise and then lower back down. There are several components to an air system (compressor solenoids, relays, even a computer)
Ususally the air struts start to leak. (10years/100,000 miles).
They are available aftermarket for about 350 to 400 a pair. There is also a spring conversion availabe for about 300 fro 2 or 500 for all 4.

The air system is not very complicated to work on and is quite dependable. But you can count on replacing the air/struts at certain intervals.

Let me know if you need links for suppliers. I just redid the 85 and still have tham all handy.
