cant decide on exhaust

ive been researching so many exhausts and i can't make a decision. ive been looking for a performance exhaust thats not too loud but loud enough to turn heads. i like the round look but large muffler. ie.. greddy evo 2. but i have a magnaflow oval exhaust right now and love the sound. i wanna keep that sound but up the performance. what other awesome cat backs are there besides the greddy or apex'i? are magnaflow good? i heard theyre alittle ricey... i hate that. sorry its so long but thanks later

Re: cant decide on exhaust

Check out DC Sports and Comptech. Both are top quality, a friend has the DC sports and it sounds great. I just bought a Comptech system but haven't installed it yet. GL

Re: cant decide on exhaust

exhaust isn't going to do shit for performance. If you like the magnaflow you have now keep it. Magnoflow makes awesome exhaust systems.

you can gain a couple of hp from an exhuast. any first year honda tech will tell you the same.

you lose a little on the low end, but pick it up on the high end. (of the rpm scale i mean)

people who disregard exhuast b/c of "no hp gains" arent the people you want to listen to. every single hp counts, and if you do enough things that give you just a little, soon you get alot. add that to some real mods, and you see how just a little something can give you the edge, hp wise.

yah, open the doors to a whopping 10-12 horsepower. I/H/E will roughly cost $1000 you can do a custom turbo setup for that much.

every single hp counts when you have a track monster capable of pulling sub 11 second passes. For a street car 250-300 whp is just fine. And that's easily accomplished if you save your money for FI instead of pissing it away on I/H/E

Re: cant decide on exhaust

GSCIVIC7 knows what he is talking about I/H/E are great for sound and looks but dont expect to outrun your moms Accord.
