intake question

i tried to install an intake in a mazda 6 without this modifier to see if i can rig something together but thanks to failure it didnt even want to stay on after starting it. i figure its this damn sensor thats being a pain in the ass so my question is what is this modifier, does any one have a picture of it. and is there any way to get around this as in installing the intake with no problems. thanks alot

get the injen one , much better set up , cleaner. Direct oem replacement , no modifications required.

will the check engine light won't come on due to the air readings
