door panal

i was wondering if anyone knows how to remove the door panel on a second gen with leather interior. i want to replace the door speakers and tweeters and i dont want to fuck the car up so im askin u fellas. btw what size will fit in the doors?

You can fit a 6.5 or a 5.25 speaker in the factory location, but be careful of depth, you may have to have an adaptor plate fabricated in order for proper fitment and installation. you want to remove all visable screws on panel, there are a couiple on the panel near the fender and some on the back side also, then pull straight up on the little handle you put you hand in to shut the door, its held in with some plastic clips that can be a pain in the ass to pull out, after you pull that out, remover those screws and the screws that holds in the litle panel around the door handle and you should be all set, the tweeter pod just pops off.
