V35 progress

this is my v35 nismo s tune..
So far I've only done the chassis.
I've switched wheels four times already.
I've decided on 19" TE37's.
I wasn't impressed by the stock bumper so I attacked it and inserted a 350z airdam:

I've also made clear tail lights:

Any suggestion on paint colour?

Re: V35 progress

the front bumper looks good, but i think it needs something else, like a small scoop on eather side.

Re: V35 progress

Looking good, been wanting to see someone tune a G35.

BTW, I vote for the TE's too.

Re: V35 progress

I got stuck into the front bumper again.
I've put side scoops either side of air dam..

Took a bit of effort due to practically wrecking the whole thing..

I drilled two holes and they cracked the whole bumper in three, superglued it back together-
so i saved it, its not too bad now.
Then i inserted the side ducts, superglued them and left it on my speaker in the loungeroom.
got up this morning and it was bonded to the speaker box!

So i cut it off, damaged the speaker box, touched it upo with a black marker, most importantly the bumper was saved again.

I've juts got to putty around the edges and sand it then I'll post a pic.

I plan to slightly increase the rear gaurds, not sure about the side skirts.

I'm also trying to finish a street r32 group n gtr (been going for 3 years), i'm restoring an f40 for the 4th time (i've had it since i was little) and i'm starting on a xanavi z with full engine detail (bonnet cut off, engine been engineered).

Re: V35 progress

Sorry still no pics..
I just cut out a square u shape out of the bonnet/hood. this will be a nismo shaped vent. (like r33 gt-r le mans or top secret r34)
I cut from the back of the hood with great (i think) results. I'll post pics tonight.

i hadn't planned on taking it this far (the mods)
but its turning out good.

Re: V35 progress

Got some pics..

still needs some putty work.

this is how i cut the bonnet.
I measured what size i wanted to cut, drew it out on stiff cardboard, stuck it to underneath of bonnet. then i cut about 3/4 of the way through with a dremel following the straight edges of the card.
finally i used a sharp knife #11 and cut through.

I'm still to raise a lip around the bonnet vent.
Doin this should result in clean edges all around.
