Debadge

I was looking to debadge my car and was wondering what I should use to get the adhesive off of the car after I remove the Dodge Stealth letters? I don't want to mess up the paint by using anything too strong. Also, since it is a ten year old car, will there be a noticably lighter area where the letters were? Thanks for the help.

Re: Debadge

I think debadging is ghetto...but if you want to do it...a rag and some wax will probably get the adhesive off. If not you could use some orange blast from autozone(just make sure to wash it off afterwards). Detailing Clay and windex would also probably work, but it would ruin the clay. There are plenty of ways to do it.

Although it maybe lighter as you mentioned under the badging.

The ugly gray letters get on my nerves everytime I see them. Instead of debadging I might take them off and paint them to something less annoying and place them back on. I definitely am removing the Dodge letters though...

Re: Debadge

My car came with no VR4 badging on the rear, the bumper was repainted once. I like it, the only way one would know its a VR4 is to know about hte active areo or wheels.. or to see the twin turbo on the sail panels lol. I just recently took of the mitsu emblem on the front bumper since it was faded to a pale redish white, I just carfully ripped it off and there was no adhesive left over. Try using a hair dryer or heat gun (lightly) to loosen it enough to get a fingernail under and peel it off slowly.

Thanks for the input. I am stuck in class all day so I will hopefully get to take it off tomorrow.
