Angry I have a problem...

Well first of all, my friend overtorqued my lug nuts and broke my key for the special lug nut...We got the motor put back in last night, i ran to wal-mart, got all the proper fluids ($64 worth) and topped them all off....Went to start the car....Took about a minute to actually start. When it did start it sound like a real loud screech. It sounded fucking horrible. Turned the car off...Looked under the car and all of my gear lube had leaked out of the tranny on to the floor. There is a bad seal on the tranny. Right where the passenger side axle goes in to. That's where it was leaking. Anyway, could having almost no gear lube in the tranny cause that horrible sound i was hearing? It did sound like it was coming from the tranny side of the car. I went to the dealer and ordered a new seal today. Comes in this Friday. The only problem - I won't be able to pull my axle out now because of my damn friend cause he broke my key! WTF! What can I do?

Re: I have a problem...

the screeching sound sounds like it's coming from the thermostat, but it's not...it's somewhere in that area...i'm pretty sure it's the tranny making that noise from having almost no oil.....any ideas?

Re: I have a problem...

im not sure if autozone would have them but at work we have a set of "universal" locking lug removers. they are like a tapered socket that you tap on with a hammer and then keep pressed against it while you loosen it with a impact
