Brown spots in paint?!

Well today is the first since about October the temperature has been above 60 degrees, so I decided to get some painting done. I now have 6 cars painted or primered, but when I painted my Dodge Stealth Pace Car, I was shocked to see the car covered in not only paint, but little brown spots! WTF?!

The paint is Duplicolor DSGM 366 Yellow Beige (appears to be a perfect match to the car, BTW), and the can has been sitting in my closet for almost a year now. Used over Duplicolor white primer.

BTW: Anyone know how long Tamiya primer has to dry before painting over it? All the instructions on my can are in Japanese.

Any help appreciated!

Re: Brown spots in paint?!

How long did you shake the can before painting? Parhaps the brown spots are lumps of unmixed pigment? Or maybe it is dirt that settled on the model after you painted?

I shook the can for about a minute, and the spots appeared on the car AS I painted it. They might be pigment though...
