Red Top Battery

Has anyone put a Redtop Battery in a 2g Turbo car, and if so does it fit well?

Re: Red Top Battery

Whats the point of those? They cost over twice as much and last twice as long. And you can mount them sideways! No really are they better for stereos or something?

They're probably not worth it, lol. They have more cold cranking amps, they're helix coil so you can't spill acid out of it and have fewer H gas problems, they're service free, and they're supposed to recover better when drained. I didn't weigh mine, but I held them both in either hand and the red top is significantly heavier. Like, a lot

Yeah I'm talking about the Optima's. I put one in my Chevelle and the cranking power of them are a lot better then standard batteries. As far as the stereo things goes not really sure I think the power of the altenator would help as far as that goes.
