Speedometer light not working

Ok this is the problem.

when i turn on the headlights all the lights come on which are suppose to come on, except in my speedometre the area where it tells the mileage is all dark. Please read carefully it's not the whole dashboard or the whole speedometer area it's only that small rectangle space where Mileage is displayed is all dark.

anyone knows if i need to change some fuse or do what

I tried and tried. Did not figure out what vehicle u've got, what kinda gauges: analog/digital...

it's a 99 maxima SE with everything stock.

Can u get somewhwre a pic [or link to] those gauges? What I mean, is that mileage feature u mention, digital, or the old style mech rollers?

If its digital, suppose u get new gauge assy. Ask dealeship for quotation, then go to junkyard. Replacement is not too hard if screwdriver is familiar.

it's digital, someone said i have to replace a bulb inside. anyone know of good mechanic in Los Angeles.
