all my wiring is shot . . . HELP

Hi,

Saved up for years and bought a 68 malibu when I was 17. I got a good deal ($5500) at the time, but blew the engine one the highway. Just dropped in a 400 small block. Anyway, I am fairly mechanically inclined, but not good with electrical. I didn't know it when I bought the car, but the wiring is a mess. All of the wiring has been "fixed" by many different people, all in their own way. I have been told by several local mechanics that I need to replace all of the harnesses in the car. They can't find a replacement harness for me though.

Can anyone help me . . . I don't know what to do, or how to go about finding new harnesses.

Thanks,
Dan

I have a under the dash wiring harness from a 68 Chevelle. It has only one wire that was cut and the end where the fuses mount is cracked but can be swapped from yours. Let me know if you are interested. They sell for $375.00 new from M&H Electric I'm only asking $50.00 + shipping.

I am interested. Is it the stock harness from your 68? Is it for a 6cyl, or 8cyl. I think my car originally had a 6cyl, but now has an 8cyl, so I'm not really sure what I need.

Thanks, Dan

GM only made two types for 68: one with idiot lights and one with SS guage package. Mine is for idiot lights.

How soon do you want it? I'm guessing it's about 6 or 7 lbs to zone 8 by ups ground is $8.59, usps priority mail is $17.50.

UPS ground will be fine. Email me and we can figure out the specifics.
