Question Changing 3.0 V6 in 1994 4Runner. Looking for advice and hints.

I've got a 1994 4Runner with the 3.0V6 & 5 speed that has a wrist pin knock due to an idiot at an oil change place not putting oil in it. I've got another motor from a junkyard on the way here. I've also got a full set of Toyota service manuals. I'm going to swap the motor out in my garage. I've never turned a wrench on this vehicle before, so I am not familiar with it at all.

If anybody has any hints for me, I would appreciate it. There are always things that aren't in the manuals that you learn after doing something like this. I'm hoping to learn from other people's experience. Any information is appreciated. Thank you.

Honestly there isn't much that anyone can forewarn you about. You have the FSM's all you need now is some time and patience. Go slow and don't force anything. Label connections and vacuum lines with masking tape and also take lots of detailed digital images before hand to help you remember how to put things back together.

Good luck!
