96 Aurora Power Seat
My driver's side seat stopped moving this weekend. When any of the seat controls are toggled, a clicking noise comes from a black box under the seat. This tells me that the wires running through the door are okay, and the problem would either be the seat motors, or that black box. All controls work with the exception of the seat controls (as well as the lumbar controls). All seat switch movements produce this clicking noise from that black box. Any suggestions? Also, what is that black box called?

96 Aurora Power Seat - Update
It turns out that the power mirrors do not work either. Moving this switch also produces the same clicking noise from that black box under the driver's seat.

I just changed my driver seat motor yesterday in my 95 because all it was doing was clicking. Turns out the new motor was clicking also. So I discovered the my old motor was still good and the problem was the relays inside that box you are talking about. So before you think about changing the motor change your relays in that box first. That could solve you problem.

There is a related thread running on this. The box under the seat is present if you have the memory seat and mirror option. If you don't have this option, then the wires run directly from the door to the seat motors. Just make sure that you check the wires going into the box before replacing it. One bad wire or connector could cause the whole thing not to work.

I do have the memory option in my Aurora. It turns out the problem for the most part was a loose/bad connection. I moved some of the connectors, and the seat and mirrors started working. The lumbar controls are not yet working. I will be removing all of the connections and cleaning them up this weekend (weather permitting) to see if that fixes the problem. Thanks for the replies.

I had the lumbar problem as well. It turns out that there were some broken wires behind the seat connector on the left (drivers) side of the seat when looking from behind. I had to pull the seat and repair the wires. Then the lumbar worked correctly again.
