coupe window trim
On the outside of my 00' alero coupe, the black strip thats connected to the back window has the paint chipped off really bad. has this happened to anyone? and i was wondering if the plastic trim peice is attached to the window, or if i could replace them by removing only the trim peice. any ideas?

You will be able to replace just the trim piece. It may have had too much sun exposure or something happened that caused it to chip and then got worse and worse. I'm sure it's a very cheap part. Your best bet is to find out the part number and order it from a place like www.gmpartsdirect.com, or you might even be able to find one at a junkyard.
