71 mustang brakes

i have a 71 mustang that has the stock drum brakes all of the way around. i need to convert it to disc brakes all of the way around. what parts do i need to pull off of what car to make this happen. anythings helpful.

For the front, you can use stock Ford parts, since disc front brakes were a popular option.
You will need the steering knuckles (with spindles), hubs, rotors, wheel bearings, calipers, pads, flexible brake hoses, combination valve, and master cylinder.
IMHO the knuckles can be used but everything else should be new or rebuilt.

Look around for a kit with all the parts you need. It may be cheaper than buying the parts seperatly.

Have a good look at your tie rod ends and control arms. The ones from the drum brake set up should work, but measure them to be sure.

For the back, there are kits available to install rear discs on most popular Ford rear axles. They usually require careful cutting and welding.
Alternatively, you can get a rear axle from a Lincoln Mk IV or V and cut off the caliper mounts and install them onto your axle. Again there's lots of fabrication required.
