Question 1996 geo metro lsi trans seal

i have a 1996 metro lsi 4 cylinder auto. the car has been great 2 years delivering pizza and now the front seal in the trans goes out. can i repair while leaving the trans in or must i remove it. i plan to do rear engine seal and cv's on both sides thanks for the help

i have a 1996 metro great car but front trans seal went out the othe night. can i drop the trans from the bottom or do i need to pull motor also. it has the 1.3 4 banger and auto trans. thanks

you will either have to pull the engine or tranny to replace the front tranny seal and the rear engine seal. you can pull just the tranny out the bottom but will have to support the engine in the middle. or leave the tranny in the car and pull the engine out. at least on these cars they make it easy to get to and work on. i would suggest renting or buying a repair manual on the car. they aren't to expensive and will help you decide what way is easiest for you to do and what you have to remove to replace the parts. good luck on project
