Because it isn't tragic- The Queen mother lead a full and meaningful life and now she has left us.

I think all she wanted to do was see 100

Care factor 0. Why isn't there this much news when any other irrelevant, meaningless and useless 102 year old dies?

you kinda answered youre own question their OZ, i mean, she was a queen, of a very powerful country for quite a long time. I mean, sure its sort of a figurehead thing but im not gonna get into the politics of it. Anyway, it wasnt tragic, but someone still passed so ill some respect

Maybe because no one heard about it. I know I didn't. She was a major figure in the British eyes and I'm sure that's all they could talk about.........but America isn't involve with that andshe just died naturally.

Don't excuse a bloody thing! I'm sick and tired of the fucking media making a bundle off running BS stories about some irrelevant, out-of-touch pompous foreign family that supposedly heads something?? They mean NOTHING. I could not care less and never will.

hmm, well as i agree that the rule family is just a figurehead, someone still died and i hold a value for human life so in that respect its tragic.

I have a question though, a friend asked, and i didnt know the answer. Who takes the throne now? Prince Charles? That was my guess, but like i said im not british so i didnt know how to answer her.

I really couldn't care less about the royal family. After Princess Di passed all that was left was a bunch of rich, snobby, pricks who haven't had to work for a damn thing. If they hadn't been running the country for so long I think the UK would be right up there with the US as far as power goes. Imagine having the most out-of-touch, inbred, spoon fed people running your country? The royal family kept Britain locked in the past "for traditions sake". The UK had all its wealth sucked by a few families and is just recently beginning to join us in the 21st century.

The lady was 101! What's to get sad about?
